Welcome to Campo di Marte, the most important Diplomacy zine in Italy.

Why this name for a Dip zine?

Campo di Marte was the name for training areas of Ancient Romans, and with it Fabrizio Mattei, our host, has wanted to recreate the spirit of friendly (always...) competition thas would have to animate Diplomacy players, first on his paper zine, and then on this one.

Campo di Marte has an every 15-days deadline, on 15 and 30 every month, except for August and December the 30th. For Diplomacy games there are three deadlines every game year, obviously Spring, Autumn and Winter; so every game year needs a month and a half, perhaps too much, but so much people prefer this to more speedly zines. Its successful history, I suppose, is here to prove it, but its real force is its factotum, Master, Boss, name him as you want, Fabrizio Mattei, older than he was when he began (13 years ago), but until now still sharp and available.

I am Vladimiro del Sorbo ed I will be your game Master. The rules of this game of course are the 4th Edition Rules of Avalon Hill, 2000, available on www.diplomacy-archive.com/resources/rulebooks/2000AH4th.pdf  . You can also read on Campo di Marte (sorry, I don't know on what page) the addictional rules of this site, I hope that the work in progress pages will be available for the start of your game, but if it shouldn't be I'll explain all you need.

My e-mail address is colarda@hotmail.com. Feel free to write me for what do you want, censures for my English writing included and welcome. Bye.
